H2Hub Virtual brings entrepreneurial education to Tecnosinos Tech Park

One of the main business trends nowadays, the sharing economy, makes it easier to exchange products and services with a focus on mutuality. Based on that principle, H2Hub Virtual has been operating for six years in Tecnosinos Tech Park, in Brazil, headed by business partners Alexandre Pereira, Izabel Cristina dos Santos and Vanessa Batisti, who teach at the university’s entrepreneurship center. 

Attentive to the creative trends encouraged in class, the three entrepreneurs realized they could provide support to the initiatives with market potential to become real businesses. That’s how they came up with Trying To Fly (TTF), a series of meetings to devise ideas and promote entrepreneurship of 30 hours’ duration spread over three months. The meetings include weekly workshops, individual mentoring/coaching activities and pitch presentations. “We see TTF as an early stage of the incubation process for startups. It allows potential entrepreneurs to understand more clearly what they want and decide what steps they will take,” explained Vanessa.

Thirteen projects participated in the first edition of the course, which took place from September to December 2017, and three of them are already active in the market. In January 2018, besides the new monthly cycles of TTF, H2Hub will continue Fala Aí, a project that promotes quick meetings for informal presentations, debates and networking.

H2Hub also offers rental space for professional training events and provides workstations for coworking activities. According to Vanessa, developing innovative products through partnerships is one of the most important features of their business. “We believe in collaboration and that’s why we support projects in which everybody wins. With our teaching expertise, we can help entrepreneurs develop methodologies for innovative courses.”
