Background information

The Minsk City Technopark (Belarus) is a limited liability company that was launched in 2013. 

Employing more than 350 people and home to 35 startups, SMEs and established companies from Belarus and abroad, its mission is to provide systematic support to firms, institutions and organisations in the Minsk area. Key sectors include energy, machine tool industry, engineering, microelectronics, medical equipment & products, security systems and optoelectronic systems.

The Minsk City Technopark is communally owned and founded by the combination of the Belarusian State University, the Belarusian Innovation Fund, and the Minsk City Executive Committee. Based on a 6.15 ha site and offering 15,000 sqm of office and laboratory space, the park aims to provide residents with a variety of benefits and bespoke options. These include favourable rental terms, low income tax and exemptions from land and property taxes, as well as access to specialised business consulting services, financial and administrative resources, and internationalisation support via a network of strategic partners. 

Facilities and infrastructure available to resident companies include a computer lab with space for robotics competitions, laser cutting and engraving tools, 3D printing and scanning facilities, and it is also home to the Engineering School, which offers programming, animation and robotics courses to school-aged children and their families.
