Objectives

The objectives of the project were:

  • To support the development of the European qualification for the European Technology Transfer Manager (TTM).
  • To test and implement ECVET (European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training) by applying it to the assessment, transfer, validation, and accumulation of learning outcomes achieved in formal, informal, and non-formal contexts related to the ETTM qualification.

Activities:

Activities

To reach this goal, the project produced:

  • A competence profile of the European TTM: The profile was fully structured according to ECVET guidelines and described in the paper The European TTM Competence Profile. It outlined key activities (units of competence) and the skills and knowledge required for each activity. Each unit was allocated a set of ECVET points, allowing recognition and transfer across other existing official qualifications and comparisons with similar profiles in different countries.
  • A blueprint for training TTMs: The blueprint, including lesson plans and materials for training, was described in the paper A Blueprint for the Training of the European TTM.
  • A procedure for accreditation of TTMs: This procedure allowed for the assessment, transfer, validation, and accumulation of learning outcomes (in the form of ECVET points) achieved in formal, informal, and non-formal contexts. It was detailed in the paper A Methodology for Assessing and Validating Competence of the European TTM.
  • Guidelines for the accreditation of course providers: These guidelines were produced for accrediting organizations that offer training courses for TTMs, as described in the paper Guidelines for Accreditation of Training Providers.
  • Guidelines for applying ECVET to qualifications: This document outlined principles (quality standards) for the application of ECVET to TTM and, more generally, to national, sectoral, or trans-sectoral qualifications.
