ParkinsonCare specialised telenursing assistance will be accessible free of charge throughout Italy through 12th June for people with Parkinson’s disease. The solidarity initiative is born from the collaboration between the Confederazione Parkinson Italia Onlus, the national network of Parkinson’s disease associations, and Careapt – a young start-up of the Zambon group dedicated to developing digital solutions for the management of neurodegenerative diseases.
To access ParkinsonCare and the network of professionals, just call the number +39 02 2107 9997 or send an email to info@parkinsoncare.com. The service will be available daily from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. The service, which assigns a specialised nurse to each patient to assist him/her in recognising and managing symptoms, will also coordinate the video-consulting sessions with the neurologists of the multispecialty department of the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute in Milan and with the physical therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists and neurologists of the Villa Margherita di Arcugnano, as well as other professionals who are mobilising in a personal capacity. Orientina Di Giovanni, GM of Careapt: "With all our partners, we are creating together, and under the auspices of the patients themselves through their Confederation, the first network of collaborative medicine for Parkinson’s disease in Europe".
