Description:

The current market is highly competitive and this has encouraged to the emergence of startups innovative technology-based businesses that are agile and able to adapt quickly to changes in the market. The healthcare sector has been one of the most promising areas for such ventures and has the potential to grow significantly over the next few years. However, the innovative nature of startups creates risk, because the business may not survive beyond its initial beginnings. As a result, they usually look for finance from investors who are also willing to take a risk and invest their capital in a nascent venture. The objective of this study is to use the AHP Multi-Criteria method to prioritize the selection of startups in the healthcare sector for potential investors, comparing five startups for investment. The analysis was able to conclude that the methodology is a valuable tool assistance in the decision-making process.
