Description:
This study delves into the application of circular economy, specifically targeting resource optimization and environmental impact reduction. In this context, insects emerge as a strategic solution, particularly due to their protein-rich composition. A novel approach proposed in this study tackles two pressing issues simultaneously. By utilizing food waste as a substrate for insect larvae production, a dual benefit is achieved, addressing the problem of food waste while creating a sustainable protein source for poultry feed. The integration of insects into this circular model represents a pragmatic response to the challenges of resource scarcity and environmental degradation. Expanding beyond food waste, industrial insects, play a pivotal role in circular economy practices. The larvae efficiently digest these organic inputs, converting them into nutrient-rich substances. Early results from this innovative approach underscore its promise in creating a more efficient and eco-friendlier industrial ecosystem.
