Science Technology Parks and Arenas of Innovations Role in the Green Transition of the Industry

This paper describes the concept of the Pure Power Platform applied on green transformation and the new corporate sustainability reporting directive (CSRD) to illustrate how Sandbacka Science Parc (as a representant for STP and AOIs) approach as a key facilitator for suppliers and sub-contractor’s greenhouse gas reporting (GHG) and decarbonisation of their business. The results shown that STPs are capable to act as facilitators to the ecosystem of suppliers and sub-contractors with respect to inspiration, awareness, engagement to meet the new CSRD rolling out in 2024. The present paper provides additional evidence supporting the importance of a facilitator, interaction, and collaboration between STPs, AOIs, Industry, academia, and regional government to overcome the companies’ perceived complexity in CSRD to make a successful green transformation and decarbonisation of their business.
