Smart City technology is an important field to increase the quality of life and reduce the energy load and carbon emission. But, it is difficult to conduct an experiment at a city level without preparation steps.
"Smart District Working Group" was established as the newest working group of Kyoto Big Data Platform to demonstrate the behavioural changes which can be achieved by utilizing human and spatial information through the use of smart technologies at a district level. Using Kyoto Research Park area as a test field, nine companies have been working together for the proof-of-Concept of the Smart City to improve convenience by using smart devices and the Smart Signage to provide information to residents and visitors, and to counter the spread of the new coronavirus by measuring and indicating congestion information and CO2 concentration at the facility
