A delegation from TusPark in China recently travelled to Japan to visit fellow IASP member Kyoto Research Park (KRP).

Herbert Chen, Director of the IASP China Office and COO of TusPark, met with Shigekata Mizuno, Managing Director of KRP, Makoto Shida, Senior Coordinator, and other representatives to discuss possible collaboration approaches between TusPark and KRP, including the joint promotion of tenant companies in the healthcare industry and cross-border acceleration and soft-landing services to tenant companies in both parks.

Kyoto Research Park is the only fully private science park in Japan, transformed from a former petroleum plant. It hosts 420 resident companies (mainly in the ICT, Biotechnology, Electronics, and Machinery sectors) with 4400 employees, creating an innovation ecosystem that integrates business with government, industry and research in the Kyoto area.

After the meeting, the Chinese delegation were given a technical tour of KRP’s 5.9 hectare site with particular focus on its business service office KRP BIZ NEXT, where the cross-border acceleration and soft-landing cooperation would be based.
