IASP member Technopark Morocco (MITC) in Casablanca recently received a visit from Ahmad Jawad, CEO of fellow IASP member Edmonton Research Park (ERP), marking another milestone in our members' ongoing commitment to global collaboration and international partnerships.
During this visit, Ahmad met with Lamiae Benmakhlouf, Directeur Général of Technopark Maroc, and her executive team to explore opportunities for cross-continental innovation cooperation. The Moroccan delegation provided comprehensive insights into their innovation parks' history, strategic objectives, and expansion across Morocco, while showcasing impressive success stories from their thriving startup ecosystem.
"The meeting demonstrated the shared vision both organizations have for fostering innovation and supporting emerging technologies," Ahmad noted. He reciprocated by presenting ERP's journey and highlighting the diverse sectors within Edmonton's innovation landscape, spanning life sciences, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy initiatives.
The productive discussions culminated in concrete next steps for collaboration. Both organizations committed to scheduling follow-up meetings to develop deeper collaboration frameworks and establish stronger industry connections between their respective innovation ecosystems.
