As of the 1st September 2025, the MobiNexus project is officially underway and between the 30th of September and 1st of October, IASP Knowledge & Project Manager, Laura Monasterio, attended the Kick-off meeting in Coventry, UK, in order to discuss upcoming plans and activities.
MobiNexus aims to foster improved collaboration between academia and industry in the transport and mobility sector - supporting the electrification, automation and digitalisation of mobility ecosystems - whilst also aligning with the European Green Deal and the Smart Mobility Strategy to reduce carbon emissions within the sector by 90% by 2050. In order to strengthen the link between academia and industry, the project will create innovation hubs, use AI-driven matchmaking for industry-academia partnerships, and deploy immersive workshops. In addition, the project aims to provide cutting-edge training in green, digital, and entrepreneurial areas through its own Entrepreneurship Academy.
This is a European Horizon project. The consortium is led by Coventry University (UK), with IASP, Inovacioni Centar Mašinskog fakulteta, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), STEP RI - Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka, and MobyX as partners. It will run until the 31st August 2027.
