Royal Science and Technology Park

Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) is a public STP based in Matsapha that was created under the vision of King Mswati III. It aims to strengthen Eswatini’s knowledge economy by supporting research, technology development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialisation.

The park covers approximately 317 hectares and is organised around two main areas: an IT Park and a Biotechnology Park. The IT Park focuses on ICT research and development, high-tech production, technology skills development, and technology-based business activities, while the Biotechnology Park supports biotechnology R&D, production, incubation, and agriculture-related technologies.

RSTP provides business incubation, research and laboratory facilities, technology transfer, entrepreneurship support, training, investment facilitation, and access to a Special Economic Zone framework with investment incentives. Its infrastructure also includes a national data centre, innovation skills academy, contact centre, and facilities designed to support high-tech enterprises.
