Background information
The CORE @ HTU is the innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, and acceleration center of Al Hussein Technical University in Amman. Established in 2018, it operates as a hybrid “incubator–accelerator” designed to support innovative startups and entrepreneurs developing both hardware and software solutions with high growth potential. The center helps entrepreneurs transform ideas into scalable businesses through incubation and acceleration programs, mentoring, investment readiness support, business advisory services, technical guidance, and access to industry networks. Its mission is to bridge the gap between innovation and commercialization while strengthening Jordan’s startup ecosystem. The CORE focuses on a wide range of technology sectors, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, agritech, edtech, health technologies, fintech, blockchain, robotics, gaming, software development, e-commerce, energy technologies, industrial technologies, and smart applications. Since its launch, The CORE has supported more than 45 startups through its programs and currently incubates 28 startups. Through partnerships with investors, industry experts, and organizations such as the Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF), it has helped startups secure funding, create jobs, and accelerate market growth. Over a three-year ISSF-supported program, participating startups collectively raised significant investment and created more than 300 jobs.
