Alejandra Herrera-Mendoza

I already have experience of joining to IASP as UNAM representative in 2009 and 2010. IASP is a very important space to share knowledge, experiences and networking resources related to institutional practices to promote science and technology applications in a positive relation between enterprises, universities, governments; it is also an excellent net to know technological trends and research about international experiences.

Biography:

Alejandra Herrera-Mendoza is a Doctor of Management Sciences and has a Master’s degree in Management of Organisations. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Bachelor in Computer Science at the IPN.

She is a reviewer of national and international specialised scientific publications, research advisor and lecturer of master's and doctoral courses.  She evaluates technological innovation projects; is an author of various publications on entrepreneurship, incubation and publications on entrepreneurship, business incubation, science and technology parks and intellectual property, among others. Academic at various educational institutions: UNAM, Universidad Iberoamericana, among others.

Entrepreneur, advisor and consultant to companies in various industries: information technologies, metal mechanics, health, agriculture, chemical, banking, food and beverage, education, and more. She created the UNAM business incubator system and the institutional technology park projects, supporting the technology parks projects, supporting the creation of 77 new companies and more than 350 business projects; design and implementation of the entrepreneurship programme and the UNAM business incubation model, and the design and execution of the public relations strategy in the field of entrepreneurship for the institution.
