Pamukkale Teknokent

Pamukkale Teknokent is a technology development zone affiliated with Pamukkale University in Denizli, Turkey. Established in 2007 and operational since around 2010, it was created to strengthen collaboration between universities, industry, and research institutions, and to transform academic knowledge into commercial and technological value. The technopark focuses on research and development, innovation, and software-based activities, providing an ecosystem where technology-oriented companies, startups, and researchers can collaborate, access shared infrastructure, and carry out joint projects.

Pamukkale Teknokent plays a significant role in regional development by promoting entrepreneurship, increasing R&D capacity, and supporting high-value technology production. It currently hosts 147 companies operating in various technology-driven fields and runs an incubator that supports 20 startups with mentoring, office space, technical and business support, and access to university resources, encouraging early-stage entrepreneurship and startup growth.The technopark also operates a Technology Transfer Office that supports companies and academics in project development, funding applications, intellectual property rights, commercialization, patenting, licensing, spin-off creation, and university–industry cooperation. Overall, Pamukkale Teknokent is a mature and well-established technopark with a strong track record in supporting R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Its scale of operations, comprehensive support services, and sustained efforts in commercialization and intellectual property management demonstrate its effectiveness and alignment with international best practices, contributing meaningfully to regional economic development in Denizli and the surrounding area.
