As well as a technical tour of our local host, Cartuja Science and Technology Park, delegates at IASP Seville will have the opportunity to hear more from some of the most innovative companies in the local innovation ecosystem.

We’ll be joined by Rafael Sanchez of Endesa, who will be talking about their eCity Seville project.

This public-private collaboration initiative led by Endesa, the Cartuja Science and Technology Park, the Junta de Andalucía and Seville City Council, is working towards the goal of generating 100% renewable energy with storage, in addition to improving the energy efficiency of approximately 50 smart buildings by 35% and having 20% of its fleet fully electric by 2025.

The project will give the Cartuja site a fully renewable, digital, decarbonised energy supply by 2025, advancing the 2050 Climate Action Goals by 25 years, and making it a model of urban energy transition and sustainability that will set an example to other international cities.

Hear his sustainability insights on September 28th, as part of the plenary session on "Towards carbon zero: tools and strategies for innovation ecosystems"

We’ll also hear from Luna Moreno from local startup Ingelectus, a spinoff from the University of Seville that was born in Cartuja STP.

The company provides innovative solutions for the electrical industry of the 21st century, helping to create a world where renewables, together with cutting-edge knowledge and technology, will sustain a continuously growing society. Ingelectus was established in 2012 to provide solutions for the electrical grid of the 21st century and tech solutions to the challenges facing the electrical power sector.

She will be giving a focus talk at 11:30 on September 29th.
