From TusPark to the global stage: Zhipu AI’s public listing and South Korea team visit

Earlier this month, Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co (Zhipu AI), incubated at IASP member TusPark, was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company is reported to be the world’s first publicly traded firm devoted to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) foundation models. Zhipu AI traces its origins to Tsinghua University’s Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG). Since its foundation at TusPark in 2019 the company has built end to end R&D capabilities, spanning from core algorithms and pre-training frameworks to domestic hardware adaptation.

TusPark’s incubation ecosystem has been central to the growth of the company. Established in TusPark in 2019, the company has benefited from the park’s model, which bridges Tsinghua University's academic resources with TusHoldings' multi-dimensional triple-helix innovation system and global incubation network.

As part of Beijing’s first AI Innovation Community, TusPark now hosts more than 140 AI companies, working across chip design, computing infrastructure and foundation models. This combination creates a collaborative environment where firms accelerate development and commercialisation.

Zhipu AI already gained international visibility during our Beijing World Conference last September. More than 70 delegates visited their premises as part of an official technical tour at TusPark. Delegates had a chance to get first-hand demos of Zhipu AI's technology and met with their leadership team. This listing is yet another example of one of the many benefits of counting on the support of an incubation programme led by innovation experts, showcasing TusPark's ability to nurture AI enterprises and contribute to the global innovation community.

Further strengthening the international nature of the park. At the beginning of January, Tuspark welcomed a visit from South Korean minister of SMEs and Startups Han Seong-sook who visited Tsinghua Holdings installations. This was official state visit of the South Korean ‌President Lee Jae Myung, marking this the first overseas trip of the year.    

These milestones highlight TusPark’s role in supporting innovation with global reach. Through incubation and international connections, TusPark continues to nurture local talent and advance technology, while helping their resident companies expand internationally.
