IASP is delighted to welcome a new CEO to our longstanding member Poznan Science and Technology Park (PPNT), Poland: Prof. Hieronim Maciejewski takes over from prof. Jacek Guliński, who is retiring.

Prof. Guliński played a crucial role in making PPNT an internationally respected science park, opening new paths for the development of innovation ecosystems in Poland. He always understood the value and importance of being an international player and having international friends, allies and connections, and we wish him all the best in his retirement.

His successor Prof. Hieronim Maciejewski has been working with prof. Guliński since the beginning of PPNT.  A professor of chemistry, he also perfectly understands the idea and mission of STPs.  He is a co-author of 40 technologies for silicon compounds syntheses, an author or co-author of 196 publications in international specialized journals, 98 patents and patent applications, a co-author of 1 book and 12 chapters in English concerning hydrosilylation. Currently, he is the head of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Silicon Compounds at the Faculty of Chemistry, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.  Since 1998, he has also been the manager of PPNT’s Incubator of Chemical Technologies, as well as the deputy director at the park and a member of AMU Foundation management. Since 2017 he has been vice-president of the Board of AMU Foundation.

Last but not least, the new PPNT deputy director is Justyna Adamska, PhD, who has been an active member of our community for many years. Justyna joined the PPNT in 2004, and throughout her career, she has been responsible for branding, communication and developing new projects.

Poznan Science and Technology Park was founded in 1995 and was the first technology park in Poland (1995). PPNT runs 4 main activities:

  • R&D Hub:  research services for companies, contracted research and “technology incubation” i.e. preparation and testing of technologies based on university research results
