Biotech Weiguang Life Science Park joins IASP

This month the IASP community has welcomed a new full member, Weiguang Life Science Park! Located in Shenzhen (China), the bio-industrial park covers 50,000 square meters and has first-class professional as well as educational facilities, with over 700 employees.

After 40 years of history consolidating efforts to become a leading enterprise in biotechnology in the area and focusing on R&D in the industry, the science park has concentrated their areas of research in cell and gene therapy, novel vaccines, biomolecules, and DNA or RNA sequencing among others. It owns various unique R&D platforms, such as a development centre dedicated to protein separation and creates differentiated blood products, vaccines and recombinant proteins among others.

The park’s autonomous innovation capacity keeps growing. By including their own clinical trials and departments for new drug licencing in the R&D process they have managed to streamline the lab-to-market process for their products. By investing in their process and space, Weiguang Life Science Park has managed to position themselves as a leading technology research platform in the province.
