Background information

Located on the left banks of the Drau River, HighTech Campus Villach (HTCV) is a hub for technology enterprises, research, and training facilities. Designed to nurture ambitious startups, HTCV provides an environment for transforming innovative ideas into successful businesses.

Specialising in electronics, microelectronics, mechatronics, and actuators/sensors, the campus is being developed in four phases, with net construction costs of €8 million co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Carinthian Economic Promotion Fund (KWF).

The campus's first development stage offers 4,000m² of rental space, part of a final plan to expand to about 16,000m². To date, two buildings have been constructed, covering nearly 9,000m².

HTCV’s facilities includes office units and dedicated lab and research areas. Among the five current residents are Silicon Alps Cluster and Silicon Austria Labs. The HTCV team also oversees IASP member Lakeside Science & Technology Park.
