IASP 40 years

2024 marked an exciting milestone for the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) as we celebrated 40 years of advancing innovation ecosystems worldwide.

40 years of IASP

To commemorate four decades of collaboration, progress, and community building, IASP has launched an anniversary kudoboard where members, partners, and colleagues from around the globe are invited to share their messages of congratulations, IASP memories, and reflections on the association’s impact on their organisation.

CEO Ebba Lund shared her appreciation for this milestone: "It’s incredible to see IASP reach 40 years. Looking back, it’s inspiring to reflect on the journey we’ve taken together and the positive impact our global community has had. There are so many colleagues and contributors to thank for where IASP stands today, and this anniversary is a moment to celebrate those who have supported our mission and believed in the power of science parks and areas of innovation to create sustainable growth for a better society". Read Ebba Lund's piece reflecting on IASP's landmark year here.

Since its founding in 1984, IASP has grown into a robust network that supports science parks and areas of innovation across more than 70 countries, creating opportunities for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and growth.

The kudoboard serves as a digital memory book and celebration space, welcoming messages that honour the past while looking ahead to the future. From members’ personal stories to colleagues’ words of encouragement, each note on the kudoboard captures a moment in the 40-year journey and helps illustrate the strength of the IASP community.
