Global success stories: innovation and best practice

Inspiring Solutions Award is IASP's knowledge sharing initiative which puts the IASP quality seal on innovative ideas in science park and area of innovation management, builds up a global library of best practices, and seeks to inspire other members. 

In 2022 we received a total of 27 entries from across the world, from which an expert panel selected 10 finalists. IASP members then voted for their three favourites, which are: 

In first place: Korea Innovation Foundation (INNOPOLIS), South Korea: "INNOPOLIS AI Friends", an initiative to help small companies adopt AI technologies via AI festivals, training, co-working spaces, and pilot solution consulting that links entrepreneurs, academics, and researchers. Read more about it!

In second place: Malaga TechPark, Spain with “Innoinvest”, a project helping SMEs to access investment capital. Working with fellow IASP members Tehnopol, Berlin Adlershof and Poznan Science and Technology Park, it’s a new approach to the investment process to help innovative SMEs to find business and/or financial partners. Find out how it works.

In third place: Prince of Songkla University Science Park, Thailand, with “Harmonizing business with science and technology”. It helps Thai farmers compete in international markets, finding a new way to develop and sustain the agriculture sector via activities that encourage local farmers and entrepreneurs to seek for new opportunities from local products. Learn more about it.
