Our colleagues at Atlanpole are hard at work preparing what promises to be a truly outstanding event, where science park and area of innovation managers from around the world will meet to discover the latest trends in our industry, exchange knowledge and make alliances with colleagues from around the world. Taking place from 24-27 September 2019, our 36th World Conference will focus on “The 4th Industrial Revolution: areas of innovation and science parks as key boosters for a successful transition.”

STPs, AOIs and new technologies

With just 2 months to go for IASP Nantes, we have a full programme of international speakers from 19 different countries who will share their expertise and experience in managing science parks and areas of innovation. Join us there to hear from keynote speaker Alain Tropis, Head of Digital Design Manufacturing & Services at Airbus, as well as other experts in some of the new technologies that are changing the world today. Other thematic tracks will explore the impact of these new technologies on people and society, and the roles and relevance of STPs and AOIs in the 4th Industrial Revolution.

French innovation and history hand in hand

French history and culture are on the agenda too: our hosts will be treating us to a welcome reception in the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, as well as a gala dinner in one of the most prestigious chateaux of the Loire Valley and a chance to discover Nantes’ industrial past and the imagination of writer Jules Vernes with the “Machines de L’île” in the city’s former shipyards.

Delegates can also join the Discovery Days to explore the French innovation ecosystem and its main industries via technical tours in Toulouse, home of Airbus headquarters and the Aerospace Valley cluster; Paris and region including the “Systematic” digital and software cluster; and the maritime city of Saint-Nazaire, touring the Atlantic shipyards with their submarine base, as well as the city of Nantes itself.
