Question of the month: crowdsourcing
/JA-TextImage-1795966-1795962.jpg)
In July, IASP asked science parks if they offer crowdsourcing for resident companies.
Specifically, the question we asked was Does your park offer crowdsourcing services to your resident companies? By crowdsourcing we mean "obtaining funds, needed services, ideas or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people, and especially from an online community."
There was a great response rate, with 62 parks answering the question.
The chart shows that 24% are planning to begin crowdsourcing; 8% have crowdsourcing funding open to start-ups, spin-offs and incubatees; 5% promote crowdsourcing of ideas amongst their resident companies; and 16% promote crowdsourcing of ideas between their resident companies and third companies.
