Question of the month: new projects in your area of influence

In October, we asked members if they had detected projects being created in their area of influence (city/region) that could be considered as direct competition of their park or area of innovation in the last two years.

These might be projects that also aim at attracting or creating innovative companies, such as other parks, incubators/accelerators, innovation districts, areas of innovation etc, regardless of whether there are possible synergies with these projects.

71% of respondents told us that yes, they had seen such projects created in their area of influence in the last two years. 27% had not, and 2% did not know.

This demonstrates that despite or because of the economic crisis, the number of projects which aim to develop and support innovative companies is still growing.
