/JA-TextImage-32789536-32789534.jpg)
In June, we asked members which skills related to technology transfer they would be most interested in studying.
- 47.7% said they would be interested in studying technology commercialisation
- 18.2% would be interested in learning about the development of new businesses
- 9.1% would be interested in communication and networking
- 6.8% would be interested in project management
- 6.8% would be interested in information gathering
- 6.8% would be interested in studying IPR and licensing.
Technology transfer may not be your official job title, but many of you do it as part of your role as managers of science parks and areas of innovation. Others may be already working directly as technology transfer managers.
IASP is involved in the European ETM project to develop a technology transfer training course and qualification framework, which is available online to anyone anywhere in the world. If you are interested in developing your technology transfer skills, you can find the training course at www.etmproject.eu.
