Question of the month: understanding the areas of innovation concept

The intuition of our members is important to us, and last month we asked you about your understanding of the concept of areas of innovation.

51.9% thought that AOIs are a general category of which STPs are one of several models.

25% consider that AOIs and STPs are two variants of one common concept.

19.2% told us that STPs and AOIs are different concepts altogether, even though they may have similar goals, and 3.8% said that the AOI concept was not clear to them.

We are sure that the Advisory Council would like to take this information into consideration as they continue to work on a document and definition of the AOI concept.
