Parque Científico y Tecnológico UTPL

Parque Científico y Tecnológico de la Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (PCyT-UTPL) is an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem focused on connecting academia, business, government and society. Operating since 2020, it promotes applied research, technological development, knowledge transfer and the creation and growth of innovative companies.

The park supports startups through incubation and acceleration programmes and provides companies with access to coworking spaces, laboratories, prototyping facilities, research expertise and national and international networks. Its main areas of focus are agroindustry and food, bioeconomy and biomass valorisation, sustainability and circular economy, and technology. The park is also closely integrated with UTPL’s research capacity, including 83 laboratories and 73 research groups, and works to translate university research into products, services and solutions for the productive sector.

Parque Cientifico UTPL is also active in international collaboration and science-park networks, strengthening its role as a platform for innovation and knowledge transfer in southern Ecuador.
