In a step towards bolstering innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan, the National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) has partnered with U Microfinance Bank (U Bank). This collaboration aims to support NSTP’s flagship programs, the Hatch8 Incubation Programme and the Rising Stars Startup Competition.

The partnership was formalised during a ceremony where Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector of NUST, and Mohamed Essa Al Taheri, President & CEO of U Bank, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Rector Bukhari expressed confidence that this collaboration would play a crucial role in nurturing the country's future innovators and entrepreneurs.

U Bank, a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Etisalat Company, brings valuable resources to the table. Mohamed Essa Al Taheri praised NUST for its nation-building initiatives and acknowledged the exceptional educational facilities provided by its science park.

This partnership highlights U Bank's and NSTP’s commitment to enhancing Pakistan's entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing essential support and opportunities for emerging startups in the country.
