IASP member Ulm Science Park continues to demonstrate how organised innovation spaces help transform research into globally competitive deep-tech companies. One example is NVision Quantum Technologies, a spin-out from Ulm University, whose innovations in healthcare and quantum computing are now reaching researchers and institutions around the world. 

Founded in 2015, NVision develops quantum technologies for healthcare and next-generation computing. Its first commercial platform, POLARIS, enables metabolic imaging on standard MRI scanners, supporting research into diseases including cancer, multiple sclerosis and cardiovascular disease, with more than 20 systems expected to be installed across Europe and the United States by the end of 2026. 

The company is also advancing molecular quantum technologies for future computing applications, backed by a $55 million Series B funding round announced in 2026 to further support their continued international growth. 

Located within Ulm Science Park, NVision benefits from close collaboration with Ulm University, research institutes and industry partners. Access to specialised talent, research infrastructure and a collaborative innovation environment has supported the company's journey from academic spin-out to an international deep-tech scale-up. 

NVision's international success illustrates how science parks create the perfect conditions for deep-tech companies to grow, accelerating the commercialisation of research by connecting global talent, research excellence, and industry collaboration. For Ulm Science Park, it is another example of how a strong local innovation ecosystem can generate technologies with global impact.
