New manager for Sandbacka Science Park

Sandbacka Science Park (Sweden) introduces their new head of operations, Mikael Schuisky. He took up position on October 15th 2025. 

Mikael most recently worked at the global, high-tech engineering group Sandvik, where he held a variety of positions, including business developer and development manager. He also played a key role in establishing and leading Sandvik’s Additive Manufacturing Center. He holds a research background in chemistry from Uppsala University. 

Sandbacka Science Park is one of approximately 30 science parks in Sweden and in the role of Director Mikael will lead and develop the organisation as part of the regional support system for innovation and development. 

"It will be exciting to have the opportunity to lead Sandbacka Science Park to the next level, where we can support the region's companies in an even better way. I look forward to helping companies develop and drive change, and that we as a science park can continue to contribute to an increased innovation capacity and competitiveness of Gävleborg's companies," says Mikael.
