Renewable Energy in Rio Grande do Norte – The Pax | Rn and the Innovation Ecosystem

Science and technology parks, such as the Augusto Severo Science and Technology Park – PAX | RN, play an important role in promoting technological development, as they are stimulating environments for the emergence of innovations. These have an essential role in the creation of intelligent technological solutions based on the interaction of their actors. In this environment, it is understood that the innovation ecosystem, based on the energy transition, assumes a unique role in tackling climate change, as well as for the socioeconomic development of territories. RN's natural potential favors it in promoting the generation of electricity from modern renewable sources, such as wind and solar-photovoltaic energy, and PAX | RN can contribute to the innovation ecosystem in the field of energy. This paper discusses the renewable energy generation process in RN and PAX's contribution to promoting the energy transition process in the state as a sustainable alternative.
