Parque Tecnológico Industrial y Científico del Cerro

Parque Tecnológico Industrial y Científico del Cerro is located in the Cerro district of Montevideo. It was established in 1998 to promote economic development, innovation, and job creation, particularly by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and fostering industrial activity in the region.

The park covers an area of approximately 20 hectares and hosts 56 resident companies operating across various sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, services, and technology-related activities. It provides companies with industrial spaces, infrastructure, and support services designed to facilitate business growth and productivity. A key component of PTI Cerro is its business incubator, which supports early-stage companies and entrepreneurs by offering workspace, mentoring, training, and access to networks. The incubator plays an important role in encouraging entrepreneurship and helping new businesses develop and integrate into the local economy. PTI Cerro also promotes innovation and workforce development through collaboration with public institutions, educational organizations, and industry partners. It offers training programs, technical assistance, and initiatives aimed at improving skills and competitiveness, particularly in communities surrounding the park.
