From TusPark to the global stage: Zhipu AI’s public listing and Hong Kong's visit

At the beginning of this month, Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co (Zhipu AI), an enterprise incubated at our member TusPark, successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the world's first publicly traded company dedicated to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) foundation models. Originating from the technology transformation of Tsinghua University's Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG), Zhipu AI possesses end to end independent R&D capabilities spanning core algorithms, pre-training frameworks, and domestic hardware adaptation. 

Zhipu AI's growth has been closely tied to TusPark's innovative incubation ecosystem. Established in TusPark in 2019, the company has benefited from the park’s model that bridges Tsinghua University's academic resources with TusHoldings' multi-dimensional triple-helix innovation system and global incubation network. 

As a core part of Beijing's first AI Innovation Community, TusPark has aggregated over 140 AI enterprises spanning chips, computing power, and foundation models, creating a collaborative environment that accelerated Zhipu AI's journey from a startup to a listed leader.  

The listing echoes the international recognition TusPark gained at our 2025 IASP World Conference. In September 2025, over 70 delegates from the conference visited TusPark as part of the official tech tour, with Zhipu AI as a key stop alongside other enterprises. The delegation witnessed Zhipu AI's technological demos, engaged with its leadership, and experienced TusPark's incubation capabilities firsthand. Zhipu AI's listing further demonstrates TusPark's ability to nurture world-class AI enterprises and contribute to the global innovation community. 

Adding on to the expansion and globalisation of TusPark, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung conducted a state visit to China from January 4th to 7th, 2026. This was his first overseas visit of the year and made him the first foreign head of state officially received by China in 2026. During the visit, he took part in official meetings and events aimed at strengthening relations between both countries. 

As part of the official program accompanying the president’s visit, Minister of SMEs and Startups Han Seong-sook led a South Korean team to visit Tsinghua Holdings installations. These facilities are part of the broader Tsinghua University innovation ecosystem that includes IASP member, TusPark. 

Taken together, Zhipu AI’s public listing and the recent international engagements highlight TusPark’s role in supporting innovation with global reach. Through its incubation ecosystem and international connections, TusPark continues to facilitate the development and outward expansion of technology enterprises.
