The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) has signed three landmark memoranda of understanding with leading health and sustainability organizations, signaling a bold step in the emirate’s mission to become a regional leader in healthcare innovation. The signing ceremony, held under the patronage of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson and President of SRTIP, marked a defining moment in Sharjah’s long term innovation strategy.

The new agreements with Emirates Health Services (EHS), Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), and the BEEAH Group lay the groundwork for a collaborative, research driven ecosystem aimed at accelerating medical breakthroughs, regulatory agility, and sustainable healthcare solutions.

“These strategic MoUs lay the foundation for long-term, impactful collaboration in healthcare R&D,” said Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTIP. “By joining hands with institutions such as EHS, SHA, and BEEAH, we aim to accelerate healthcare innovation and make Sharjah a beacon for sustainable medical advancements that benefit the UAE and the wider region.”

The agreement with EHS, signed by Director-General Dr. Yousif Mohammad Al Serkal, formalizes a wide-ranging partnership spanning innovation translation, clinical collaboration, and prototype development. The entities will cohost health tech forums and integrate startups into the national healthcare system, driving patient-focused innovation.

In partnership with SHA, SRTIP will help launch a dedicated clinical research center and regulatory sandbox to test and fast-track emerging medical technologies. Meanwhile, the agreement with sustainability pioneer BEEAH Group introduces a new healthcare R&D hub focused on digital health, telemedicine, and sustainable medical waste solutions. With these alliances in place, Sharjah is well on its way to becoming a leading hub for healthcare research, innovation, and sustainable development in the region.
