Bioindustry Park strengthens international collaboration with Québec life sciences ecosystem

IASP member Bioindustry Park has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre québécois d'innovation en biotechnologie (CQIB), strengthening ties between the life sciences ecosystems of Piedmont, Italy, and Québec, Canada. The agreement aims to foster international collaboration in research, innovation and business development.  

The partnership builds on an institutional mission to Canada organised by the Piedmont Region and CEIP Piemonte in April 2026, which brought together regional organisations to explore opportunities for collaboration with Canadian partners and strengthen international connections across strategic sectors, including life sciences.  

Under this MoU, Bioindustry Park and CQIB will work together to promote technology transfer, support the internationalisation of companies, facilitate matchmaking between businesses and innovation stakeholders, encourage collaborative projects and enable the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two ecosystems.  

The collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for startups, companies, researchers and investors in both regions while reinforcing Bioindustry Park's role as a connector between research, industry and innovation. It also reflects the park's ongoing commitment to building international partnerships that support sustainable growth and competitiveness in the life sciences sector.
