Building bridges between innovation ecosystems: Lausitz Science Park visits Alicante Science Park

From 10-12 February, a team from Lausitz Science Park, together with a delegation from Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) and a representative of the State Chancellery of Brandenburg, visited the Alicante Science Park in Spain welcomed by Esteban Pelayo and Mar Cervera. The visits goal was to gain insights on successful science park models and innovation ecosystems. They were also welcomed by Honorary Consul Nuria von Kapff at the German Honorary Consulate in Alicante. 

During the visit, Lausitz Science Park presented its vision and development plans, while opportunities for future cooperation were explored. Alicante Science Park (PCA) shared valuable insights into startup support, sharing their knowledge on services for resident companies, land-use and financing models, as well as the development of spin-offs and business settlements. 

Lausitz's team also had a chance to gain insights on the broader innovation and industrial ecosystems of the region, visiting more key players including Parque Cientifico UMH and Atalayas Ciudad Empresarial. 

Visits like this showcase the importance of collaboration and learning from members in order to drive further development and structural transformation.
