The 42nd IASP World Conference in Beijing on 16-19 September, hosted by Z-Park, will gather key voices in the field of science parks, innovation districts, and areas of innovation. This year’s theme, “Elevating excellence: Innovation spaces driving high-quality development,” will be explored by a diverse lineup of speakers from around the globe.
Introducing our global experts
We’re excited to welcome speakers representing more than 25 countries, including Australia, Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Kenya, Sweden, Thailand, Türkiye, and USA. These thought leaders bring a wealth of experience across all aspects of our industry, including urban development, digitalisation, and open innovation ecosystems.
The conference programme features sessions that, among others, delve into open innovation ecosystems, exploring the creation of international collaborations and new types of global relationships. It also addresses urban development, focusing on the impact of innovation spaces on city growth, their role in establishing international innovation centers, and the integration of people, industry, and urban environments.
Furthermore, sessions will cover economic development, examining how innovation spaces drive advancements in technology, industry, and finance, fostering high-quality economic growth. IASP Beijing’s programme will also look to future development trends, discussing the evolution of innovation spaces over the next two decades, the influence of AI, and how low-carbon and smart innovation spaces will shape the future, including the development of their infrastructure. Along with the other topics covered, it will focus on technology and entrepreneurship, aiming to build vibrant innovation communities and leverage technology and entrepreneurship for a better world.
In-depth technical tours
Participants at IASP Beijing can join technical tours that offer an in-depth exploration of Beijing’s vibrant innovation landscape. These include visits to the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone and the ZGC E-TOWN International Robotics Industrial Park, where participants will gain insight into cutting-edge developments in hydrogen energy and robotics. Additional tours include the Zhongguancun Dongsheng Science and Technology Park and Jinnovation Park, showcasing ecosystems that blend scientific research, tech entrepreneurship, and even traditional cultural heritage. As part of the IASP 2025 World Conference in Beijing, IASP launched a special pilot initiative, IASP Horizons: B2B China Connect – a programme for companies located in science parks, areas of innovation, and innovation districts.
This tailored B2B initiative offers participants the chance to explore China’s innovation ecosystem through targeted company visits, networking sessions, and curated meetings with companies within local science parks across multiple sectors.
