Hao Tang appointed as new IASP Asia Pacific Division President

IASP is pleased to announce Hao Tang as the newly elected President of the IASP Asia Pacific Division. Current Managing Director of Jiangsu Tuspark Innovation Research Institute Co (China), Hao Tang succeeds Tom Bentley, representing Melbourne Innovation District (Australia).
Hao Tang holds dual MBA degrees from the University of Missouri (USA) and Nanjing University (China). He has worked as an engineer, project manager, and vice director at companies such as Philips (Netherlands), Indra (Spain), and IBM (USA), bringing extensive industry expertise and management experience. Previously, he served as an assistant dean at the Jiangsu Industrial Technology International Research Institute, where, under the guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, he collaborated with IBM on technology transfer initiatives. He played a key role in introducing the “Power8” (RSIC) server CPU chip into Jiangsu for industrialization and was responsible for building the “OpenPower” ecosystem in China.
Hao Tang is currently the Managing Director of Jiangsu Tuspark Innovation Research Institute Co., Ltd., a national-level innovation space, provincial-level science and technology enterprise incubator, and provincial-level science and technology enterprise accelerator. He oversees the Jiangsu Tuspark incubator, technology transfer, industrial investment, overseas technology cooperation, and innovation research. Additionally, he manages the Jiangsu Tuspark Netherlands Innovation Center and successfully launched the “SLP Soft Landing” brand project, facilitating the settlement of overseas technology enterprises, technologies, and talents in Nanjing. He has cooperated multiple times with government departments in the Netherlands, Denmark, and other countries
