IASP members strengthen Southeast Europe connections at TechIntelligence 2026

The 10th Forum of Advanced Technologies hosted by Science and Technology Park Niš, Serbia, discussed how closer cooperation between science and technology parks can strengthen regional innovation ecosystems. 

Science Technology Park Niš hosted the two-day Forum on 16-17 September under the theme TechIntelligence: Transforming Industry for the Intelligent Age. The programme brought together representatives from industry, research, startups, public institutions and the investment community to examine how artificial intelligence, digitalisation and advanced technologies are changing industry and business.  

Regional cooperation between innovation ecosystems formed part of that conversation in the panel “STP Alliance-From Niš to Southeast Europe: Building Connected Innovation Ecosystems.” 

The session heard from Milan Ranđelović, Managing Director of Science Technology Park Niš, Tasos Vasiliadis, CEO of JOIST Innovation Park in Greece, Derya Çağlar, CEO of Ostim Teknoparkin Türkiye and Elica Mollov, Director of the Incubation and Innovation Directorate at Sofia Tech Park in Bulgaria. The discussion was moderated by Ivan Pavlović, Assistant Director of Science Technology Park Niš. 

The panel considered how stronger links between science and technology parks create opportunities for regional cooperation, investment and access to international markets.  It also explored the role that closer connections between innovation spaces can play in supporting shared innovation across national borders. 

Science Technology Park Niš was among the organisers of the Forum and was the host of the event. Their participation in the Southeast Europe panel extended the Forum’s focus beyond individual technologies to the connections between the organisations that support innovation at a regional level.
