New IASP Advisory Council President

We are delighted to announce that Romildo D. Toledo-Filho (Brazil), Chief Executive Officer of the UFRJ Science Park, has been appointed President of the IASP Advisory Council. He succeeds Lamiae Benmakhlouf (Morocco), to whom we extend our sincere thanks for her commitment and valuable contributions to the association. 

As President of the Advisory Council, Romildo will also join the IASP Board of Directors as a Consulting Director, representing the Council and sharing its analysis and recommendations as input to the association's strategic discussions. 

Romildo brings over three decades of experience in research, technology development and institutional leadership, combining academic expertise with a strong commitment to translating scientific advances into practical applications.   

Since 2023, he has led the UFRJ Science Park, supporting the development of research infrastructure, technology centres and initiatives across fields including artificial intelligence, advanced materials, health, green technologies and social innovation.  

Working with Romildo on the IASP Advisory Council are Alberto Albahari (Spain), Martin Gorosko (Estonia), Paul Jansen (The Netherlands) and Carina Rapetti (Argentina), bringing together diverse expertise and perspectives from across the global innovation community.
