IASP member Research Triangle Park has seen two of its senior leaders recently recognised for their contributions to innovation ecosystem development and strategic leadership.

Carolyn Coia, Vice President of Real Estate for the Research Triangle Foundation, has been named a 2026 Rising Leader, a distinction celebrating emerging professionals shaping the future of their sectors. She leads real estate strategy and execution for Hub RTP, a transformative mixed-use innovation district, while also managing land strategy across Research Triangle Park.

Scott Levitan, President and CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation, has meanwhile been included in the 2026 Business North Carolina Power List, which highlights influential figures shaping economic development across the region. Scott leads the implementation of the RTP 3.0 vision, a comprehensive strategy for the park’s evolution as a global innovation hub. Under his leadership, Hub RTP has attracted more than 100 million USD in investment and is emerging as a flagship example of how innovation spaces are evolving to meet new industry and community needs.

These recognitions reflect the value of strong leadership in innovation ecosystem development, from visionary thinking to operational excellence. We congratulate Carolyn Coia and Scott Levitan on these achievements and look forward to continuing our work together in advancing innovation-driven development globally.
