The Collaborative Evolution of Cultural Creation and Urban Renewal in Cultural and Technological Parks: A Case Study of Shouchuang·Langyuan Station 

This paper takes the Shouchuang·Langyuan Station as the research object to explore the practical path of cultural and technological parks in the collaborative evolution of cultural creation and urban renewal. As a representative example of urban renewal in Beijing, Shouchuang·Langyuan Station adopts “cultural-technology integration” as its core strategy. By preserving industrial relics and incorporating elements of the metaverse ecosystem and modern art design, the park reconstructs spatial cultural narratives and creates a new urban cultural landmark. The park focuses on new industries such as digital content and virtual reality, forming a complete “technology research and development - content production - consumer experience” chain, activating new trendy consumption scenes and driving an upgrade in local consumption levels. Meanwhile, through co-construction with the local government, the park promotes the harmonious integration of native residents and new industries. The park’s successful experience provides a model of the collaborative evolution of “spatial activation - industrial upgrading - social resilience” for urban functional iteration and urban renewal in the post-industrial era. It also offers practical insights for the integration of regional reshaping and technological innovation in an international context.
