Description:
VeniSIA (Venice Sustainability Innovation Accelerator) is a project by Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the result of in-depth research based on Deep Tech to solve global sustainability challenges, namely both a new narrative for Venice – seen as a living lab for solving local problems and scaling them globally – and a new perspective on acceleration based on open innovation. VeniSIA's programs focus on Climate Change & Circular Economy, Sustainable Tourism, and, most recently, Future Farming, a new disruptive field at the intersection of Nature Co-Design and Controlled Environment Agriculture, where the growing tools for the next generation are precision fermenters and vertical farms.
