Shanghai Development Park Association
Shanghai Development Zone Association was established in 2002. It is a non-profit social organization operated and managed by industry and science and technology park experts. The association has more than 50,000 members and its built area is planned to reach 1,000 square kilometres in the near future. Its industrial output value accounts for 80% of Shanghai, and the main innovation indicators account for more than 60% of the city.
Members represent various types of development zones in Shanghai: China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Economic and Technological Development Zone, High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Special Customs Supervision Zone, Financial Trade Zone, Tourist Resort Zone, Industrial Cluster Zone, and Small and Medium-sized Technological Innovation Zones Park.
The mission of the SDPA is to provide comprehensive support for Shanghai's industrial and technological innovation parks, and to promote the development of industry and technological innovation in member parks. The association has created an exchange network made up of senior management, innovation experts and professional service organizations in Shanghai Industrial Park and Science and Technology Park. SDPA assists in the establishment and development of new industrial parks and science and technology parks in Shanghai, as well as the domestic and international development of Shanghai parks. Moreover, it provides new business opportunities for enterprises in member parks.
