International collaboration continues to be a key focus for IASP member TusHoldings (China), which has recently launched new initiatives with partners in Brazil and South Korea to create new opportunities for innovation ecosystems across continents.
In May, TusHoldings and fellow IASP member Caldeira Institute (Brazil) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Beijing to establish a strategic partnership focused on technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and business internationalisation. The agreement includes plans to support Brazilian companies entering the Chinese market through a proposed ‘China-Brazil Science and Technology Park’, alongside innovation missions, entrepreneur exchanges, and cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, environmental technologies, and healthcare.
The partnership aims to foster stronger links between the innovation ecosystems of both countries while creating new opportunities for startups and SMEs to access international markets, collaborative projects, and new business networks.
While the partnership with Brazil lays the foundation for long-term collaboration, TusHoldings has also been fostering international collaboration through international events, hosting the South Korea regional round of the ‘Maker China’ Overseas Regional Competition. The event brought together 12 South Korean technology companies working in fields including robotics, healthcare, fintech, smart energy, intelligent manufacturing, and consumer technologies and provided a platform for startups, investors, and industry experts to explore cooperation opportunities through project presentations and dedicated matchmaking sessions. As part of a programme designed to promote knowledge exchange, a South Korean delegation also visited leading Chinese technology companies to strengthen bilateral innovation links.
Together, these initiatives highlight how innovation spaces can serve as gateways to international collaboration, connecting entrepreneurs, companies, investors and research communities across borders. By creating opportunities for technology transfer and exchange, market access, and strategic partnerships, they help build globally connected innovation communities.
