IASP is pleased to announce the launch of our new community app!

With an almost infinite number of technologies and platforms to get in touch with colleagues, it can be difficult to track down the ones that all our IASP members use. The world we live in may be global, but each country and region has its preferred methods of communication: from WeChat to WhatsApp to Weibo, there’s no single platform everybody uses. And that’s why we’ve made our own!

The IASP website and Members Area are powerful tools when you’re in the office in front of the computer, but when you’re out and about, an app on your phone is more agile and can better meet your needs.

The IASP app puts key industry information and contacts at your fingertips, helping you keep in touch with colleagues and stay up to date on everything happening at IASP and in the science parks and areas of innovation worldwide.. Members and other professionals will be able to access key features like our members directory, knowledge room, news and video repository, and chat with users. Some sections are exclusively for IASP members, but the app is generally open as it also includes our annual World Conference app for delegates who have signed up.

Event app and community app in one

It will also have a key role to play at our upcoming World Conference, IASP Seville. Scheduled for launch in late August, the event part of the app will fulfil all the functions that you’re used to from an event app, with the added advantage that you don’t need to delete it once the conference ends or download and get to know a new event app for future IASP World Conferences. They will all appear within the community app before each World Conference begins, allowing you to enter and start your networking with plenty of time.

As well as finding the full scientific programme, you can make your own personalised programme with the sessions you most want to catch; schedule meetings with other attendees; find information about speakers, sponsors and delegates; ask and reply to questions during sessions, and generally make the most of your trip to Seville. Perhaps most importantly, it has a chat feature which means not only can you make comments or ask questions to all delegates together, you can also contact people individually and start a private conversation with any user who opts in to the chat!

You can find it now in the app store here and Google store here, by searching for 'IASP Innovation Community', or by scanning the QR code below.

We hope you find it useful!
