A warm welcome to new members at IASP Sophia Antipolis

Each year, the IASP World Conference brings our global community together in a different part of the world, and it is also an opportunity to welcome the newest members of the network and introduce them to the wider IASP community. This year, the French Riviera provided the setting for these first introductions. 

To help newcomers feel at home from the start, a dedicated New2IASP reception was held on the first day of the conference, giving new members the opportunity to meet the IASP Board and team, and get to know one another in a more informal setting before the main programme got underway. 

New members were also introduced to the wider network during the Welcome Ceremony at the Gala Dinner. IASP CEO Ebba Lund presented them to the international audience before they were invited on stage to receive their welcome trophies from IASP President Salvatore Majorana, to warm applause from fellow delegates. With 51 new members welcomed this year, the ceremony was also an opportunity to recognise the continued growth of the IASP network. 

Moments like these turn a network into a community, and these introductions are an important first step in becoming part of the network. We hope the introductions made in Sophia Antipolis are the first of many conversations, and that our new members find in IASP a global network of peers ready to share ideas, experience and opportunities.
