Alpha Building at Sophia Antipolis officially inaugurated

Sophia Antipolis, host of IASP 2026 World Conference, has reached a significant milestone with the official inauguration of the new Alpha building, a flagship development for Europe’s leading Science and Technology Park. Spanning 6,300 m², the building has been conceived with strong environmental ambitions, integrating solar panels, geothermal energy systems and high-performance insulation to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and operational energy use.

Designed as a hub for collaboration and innovation, the Alpha building will bring together business incubators and startups alongside researchers, students, teachers, entrepreneurs and key economic stakeholders. By co-locating these communities, the facility aims to foster long-term connections between academia and the innovation ecosystem, encouraging knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship and the emergence of new projects.

The Alpha building will also play an important role in the 2026 IASP World Conference, serving as venue for the Pre-Conference Training Seminar taking place in October. This seminar will welcome international innovation professionals and Science Park leaders, offering a dedicated space for learning, exchange and networking ahead of the World Conference. 

Looking ahead, the Alpha building is expected to open a new chapter for Sophia Antipolis, providing a dynamic base for future initiatives and reinforcing the site’s long-standing mission to connect research, education and business in support of innovation-led growth.
