Inspiring Solutions is IASP's knowledge-sharing programme designed to highlight innovative initiatives and exemplary practices in science parks, innovation districts and areas of innovation globally. This programme amplifies the impact of their work in supporting businesses and communities. 

This year, an impressive array of entries was received, showcasing bright ideas from around the world. Our expert panel has selected 10 outstanding finalists representing  Australia, Brazil, Hungary, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Türkiye and the UK. 

Now, it's up to IASP members to vote for their top three solutions. The main contacts from each member organisation received an email with personalised link through which to vote. If members have not received this, please contact projects@iasp.ws.  

Voting closes on Wednesday 3 September. 

The winners will be revealed during a special ceremony at the IASP World Conference in Beijing. Join us for the announcement and to celebrate these remarkable achievements! 


Here are the 10 finalists (listed alphabetically by organisation): 

Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), India - "Solar Powered Tricycle" 

AMTZ's rural-focused tricycle solution aids the elderly and disabled with key features: solar panel, BMS, motors, stability, and mileage. The BMS ensures battery safety and longevity. With a 40 km range, 23 km/h top speed, and battery indicator, it offers safe, efficient, and reliable transportation across plain roads. The cross-sectorial uses for this mobility option are broad, being efficient, eco-friendly, and enhancing accessibility for wheelchair users within the contexts of science parks. 

Glasgow City Innovation District, UK - GCID Venture Studio 

The Glasgow City Innovation District (GCID) Venture Studio is a pioneering model for fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Through four key pillars—Challenge, Make, Innovate, and Impact—it provides funding, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities to accelerate business growth, drive inclusive economic development, and position Glasgow as a global leader in innovation.  

İTÜ ARI Teknokent, Türkiye - Innovation on Wheels: İTÜ Çekirdek Automotive Program 

İTÜ ARI Teknokent and Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OİB) support startups developing innovative automotive and mobility solutions through İTÜ Çekirdek's Automotive Program. Designed to accelerate commercialization, the program offers access to mentorship, R&D infrastructure, investor matchmaking, and sectoral partnerships—empowering entrepreneurs to rapidly develop impactful technologies and grow within a strong innovation ecosystem.  

KACST STP, Saudi Arabia - KACST Venture Program (KVP): Implementation of Innovation Hexagon  

KACST STP design and implement a deep tech commercialization program (KVP) using an extended Triple Helix model. In addition to Government, Academia, and Industry, this "Innovation Hexagon" model incorporates the Entrepreneurial community, Investment community, and NGOs to accelerate lab-to-market success and deliver real-world impact. 

Linköping Science Park, Sweden - The City as a Testbed: testing green ideas in Linköping  

Testbed Vouchers enable SMEs to test climate-smart innovations in real-life municipal environments. Through fast funding and strong public-private collaboration, companies can validate and scale sustainable solutions that support Linköping's goal of becoming climate neutral by 2030.  

Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI), Malaysia - Driving 5G Adoption for Innovation at MRANTI Park  

The first 5G-enabled technology and innovation park in Malaysia, MRANTI Park offers an end-to-end 5G ecosystem for innovation. This includes parkwide-ready infrastructure, a dedicated business facilitation hub, and a 5G Experience Center. Recognised by the government as the National 5G-for-innovation Testbed, they help innovators (startups, tenants, and academia & researchers).  

Melbourne Innovation Districts, Australia - City North Social Innovation Precinct Activation Initiative  

The City North Social Innovation Precinct, at the heart of the Melbourne Innovation Districts,brings communities and innovators together to co-create solutions for real-world challenges. Through place-based experimentation, it transforms bold ideas into scalable impact, shaping an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future—grounded in everyday life and driving positive change. 

Parque Científico e Tecnológico da Unicamp, Brazil – Unicamp Challenge  

The Unicamp Challenge is a national competition for business modeling based on technologies. Teams develop a business model from a pre-selected Unicamp technology. Participants receive workshops in business modeling methodologies, training, and mentorship. The main goal of the challenge is to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation.  

Solution Innovation District, Nigeria - 1 Million Anambra Digital Tribe Initiative  

1 Million Anambra Digital Tribe (1MADT) is a free digital skills training initiative by the Anambra State Government's Solution Innovation District, aiming to upskill 1 million people. It empowers youth, women, and informal workers through online learning, driving jobs, startups, and inclusive economic transformation across the state. 

ZalaZONE Industrial Park, Hungary - ZalaZONE Trainee Program  

ZalaZONE Trainee Program strengthens the practical experience of economics and engineering students within the framework of the Triple Helix model, thus complementing the academic knowledge, facilitating integration into the labour market, as all competencies are provided for a smooth start to work, which provides a significant competitive advantage for fresh graduates.
